Due to the growth of our firm over many years, we needed to improve numerous processes especially in our accounting/finance department in order to continue our success or I knew we would eventually retract.  Mike joined us at RKA approximately 4 years ago and brought to us a wealth of experience from various industries which helped to improve not only our accounting/finance team, but he also played a key role on our leadership team.  He helped our firm greatly by developing and mentoring our Director of Accounting and Finance, recommended numerous growth strategies for his team, implemented processes to expedite our month-end closing, improved our reporting, started a new budgeting/forecasting process, took an active role as an ex-officio board member, and was also extremely beneficial to me during the acquisition of our firm by a private equity backed company.  Mike was a steady hand during several difficult situations and provided good guidance which helped me in my decision making. I appreciate everything that Mike has done not only for me but especially for our firm.
