Lynne Hicks is an energetic, detailed-oriented financial analyst with over 20 years of industry accounting experience. She has gained knowledge and experience in multiple industries, including telecommunications, construction, manufacturing, retail, architectural, and health and wellness. Her expertise consists of a diverse set of skills, including all aspects of financial reporting and payroll processing. Ms. Hicks also has the unique experience of being involved with all sizes of companies, ranging from 10 to 70,000+ employees. Prior to joining the Rankin McKenzie team, Ms. Hicks was a Senior Financial Analyst with Nortel Networks in Research Triangle Park. Her work there included analyzing order and revenue detail for all business units for the purpose of expediting sales compensation payments to a 3000+ sales force. Currently, she is utilizing her broad experience base to guide small businesses through the installation and set-up of the company accounting records on QuickBooks software. She also trains company personnel to use the software and remains on-hand as needed to assist with any pending accounting issues.


Ms. Hicks holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Albright College in Reading, Pennsylvania, and is a member of the North Carolina Association of CPAs.


Professional Career Highlights:

  • In 1992, Ms. Hicks served as a Senior Accountant for Piedmont Air Conditioning in Raleigh. She applied her analytical and organizational skills to ensure the prompt and precise release of month end consolidated financial statements. She helped to create and implement internal accounting controls as the company grew in size. In addition, she teamed with an outside consultant to administer the company 401k plan.
  • Ms. Hicks has also served as an Accounting Manager for MHF Corporation, a local trucking company and Computer Components Corporation, a local manufacturing company. She worked as a Staff Accountant for The Concord Company, LTD, a local construction company.
  • She has also designed both individual and classroom training programs within the Sales Compensation Administration department. She was the recipient of several Pride Awards during her tenure as a result of her dedication and assistance to others on her team.
