A valuable asset to Fast Lane is how you would describe our former part-time Controller, Lynne Hicks. Having assisted our accounting department in all aspects of our accounting procedures for over six years, she was always dependable, knowledgeable, and accessible. Fast Lane’s continuous growth and addition of new revenue opportunities in multiple countries equates to the need of a controller who can be available to answer questions at any time throughout the work week as well as coming into our office unexpectedly when problems arise. Our Rankin McKenzie Partner joined our organization in September of 2023. Wake Radiology had never had a CFO before and the rapid growth of our organization over the last 5 years had outstripped the capacity of our accounting team. We asked them to reorganize and build out our finance team while at the same time “teaching” the whole company what a CFO could do. Along the way they helped us find several key administrative personnel, helped solve a few politically delicate compensation problems and helped lead some key negotiations with our hospital partners. We now have a much stronger financial team infrastructure and are better positioned to take advantage of future opportunities.
