Alex is reliable, accurate, and knowledgeable about nonprofit financials. MiracleFeet initially hired Alex when we had a transition in finance staff and needed immediate assistance to keep the bills paid and lights on! Scott Farms had the pleasure of working with our Rankin McKenzie Partner as our CFO for over four years. Our Partner helped us with the restructuring of our finances and improved our cash. He helped us develop tools for reporting for our company financials, KPIs and cash flow which helped us to not just be in the best compliance possible but also helped us understand what happened and what was in front of us clearly. Mainly, our RM Partner cared about us in a personal and professional manner and mentored and challenged us to be even better. This relationship not only worked wonderfully but we have become close professional friends.

We engaged Debbie in January 2024 for high-level Accounting and Consulting services due to turnover in our Accounting Department and outdated financial practices. Our goal was to stabilize the company by addressing these evident financial shortcomings.

Debbie’s energy and detailed approach was evident from the start, as she undertook a forensic audit of our overall finances, records, and practices and identified deficiencies and key avenues for improvement. She recommended changes, including restating the 2023 Profit and Loss Statement, implementing new Budget Procedures, and adapting QuickBooks for Payroll, Accounts Receivable, and Payables. These changes have been crucial to stabilizing our financials.

Debbie has proven to be an invaluable resource with her organized, detailed approach and positive, can-do attitude. She offers clear, measured counsel and remains calm even in difficult situations. Her strong accounting background and ability to simplify complex solutions make her a trusted advisor and a tremendous asset to our company.

Jeff is a true professional whom I trust and respect.  He draws from his vast and diverse experience to find practical and actionable solutions.  While serving as our CFO, Jeff built strong relationships throughout the company and became a trusted strategic advisor to the leadership team.  He took the financial function at MedThink to the next level, quickly identified KPIs and developed models to measure them, as well as supported the company through a successful M&A process.  I thoroughly enjoyed working with Jeff.   

NCEPS completed a state employment audit and passed with flying colors thanks to Jaye McDermott, our Rankin McKenzie part-time Controller. In fact, the auditors’ visit was very short as she was so impressed with our books and records. We have been very pleased with our RM resource and feel like she is an integral part of our team. We have enjoyed her support and look forward to a continued strong relationship.
