He then obtained a Master of Accounting degree from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill before moving to Chicago, where he completed an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and earned his CPA license in Illinois. He later moved to the Bay Area to join Apple and spent nearly a decade in the region before returning to North Carolina. Beyond his professional work, Mr. Wetzel serves as a board member of the Wiley Elementary Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to enriching the educational experience of students at Wiley Elementary School.
